Well I have to say...it's been a bit busy here. Some planting done...some not. Cattle out to pasture and Grizzly is working on getting the baler stuff ready...While buckwheat and his Dad were unplugging culverts after a downpour yesterday nite...clouds were quite scary!!A lot of water in a short time...fields full. It's a little wet!!

Rolling April 2009

Well it must be spring. It's raining!! We had a brief thunderstorm I think it was last week..maybe thursday. It snowed Sunday April 26th around 8pm or so. Well better than last years 8+ inches of snow we had by 9am!!! Our lake is gone!! Grizzly broke threw the culvert and away it drained. Our animals are gone. By the next morning all we seen was black dirt. Two of the little guys have had their first tractor ride of the season. They were thrilled!! Grizzly did some rolling on a hay field. The Boys so hated to be done ridding!! Gayle said around 17 cows left to calve( I beleive it was) Haven't had much oppertunity to get some pics..to cold and tied up with a baby!! iam looking for green grass..but not the mowing part..looking for flowers to bloom..but need to clean my flower beds out first!!!

And Grizzly is done!!

Today the sun is out!! It seems the snow is melting a bit!! Maybe gonna get over 20 degrees out today!! Lotsa pics I added today,But they say more snow could be on the way!!

OOHH aren't they so cute!! The baby ones all in the same pen are orpans!! So they get bottle fed and it was a little less than a half an hour till feeding and they were so hungry!! That is there new Momma standing there. Some were a twin and some there momma's didn't want them..evan cattle do that. So sad!! Grizzly thinks about 70 have calved and that means around 200 or so left.So it's been a bit busy for them.

When I left the yard today with all the monsters it was a warm 12 degrees out!!!
It was sorta cloudy with a little wind to blow the snow around! By 1 the sun was peeking out!!
And It was shots day for the pregnant Momma cows. some bellered( I completely understood that)Some just stood their and took it like a man! It was chilly standing out there for me and the last picture I took was the last picture my camera would take...battery dead or frozen!! And on the way back we stopped to watch the big Snowmobile race..yes that's what I thought darn it..camera's dead!!! I need extra juiced up batteries!! I did take some with my cell phone..I haven't looked to see how they turned out..if there good I will post some.

Winter...Almost over??
Grizzly driving outta the yard with the semi..than out on the highway..I took these from our living room window!!! For those of you that know us and know our place..I have to say pictures didn't turn out half bad!! And Grizzly has got in a little snowmobiling this winter!! Isn't he a tuff one..no helmet...no snowpants!!

Snow and More Snow!!
And it is quite pretty!! We are just waiting for warmer days so some Snowman can come too life!! I have the kids a little worried I think....I told them there was so much snow this year we could build snowman down the whole driveway!!! We have a long drive way!! Wouldn't that be cool!!! They don't think so!!
So get out and enjoy it and make a snow angel..or two....
Just a few shorts months and it will all be gone!!!

Farming Neighbors~ Helping hands

Sharing A Corn Header!!! Grizzly uses it one day and The neighbors use it the next!! And the 2 little guys love watching Him hook it up and go down the road. Grizzly was going bowling...as you see he's not in his work boots!! But when Grizzly got home he hooked it up to old faithful(not the new combine) and put her in the shop...wouldn't want her to get snowed on or cold ya know!! Yes Grizzly takes very good care of her......Iam wondering if the other Green lady is feeling...um a bit left out?

A little wet.... Grizzly hates getting stuck...it usually doesn't happen very often as his one of his talents is mastering the mud!!

Lets see..the weather..one day ccccold...the next sunny...the next really windy..T Boone where's your wind mills!! You could put a few right in our yard!! Than the next we have rain..than snow!! Now today Sunny!! Gotta love the variety!!
So yes Grizzly has taken his new lady out in the mud!! And played a little..but like any good man he washed her right up and put her away so she wouldn't get rained on!!
Funny thing is he could ask me to play in the mud with him......And I'd gladly go.
Well maybe not when it's this cold out!!

Now they also moved the Cattle home in the rain cold rain. And the next day they moved the rest home with the sun on their face! Most definitely is fall just by that alone. I usually am out getting pics of the move..hate to miss it and love to help by blocking roads.
But not this time..to hard to move around when Iam due. So I missed it!! The first day to cold and rainy!! And as the sun sets we wait for grizzly to put the Green lady away for the night and we race to the door when he drives in the yard!!

A new Lady

Iam really not the jealous kind. Grizzly is always right here for us and so always making sure we know how much he loves us. But he has a new lady in his life and I am not quite sure if I like it or not. OOHH yes the boys like her alot!! They think she's pretty and sleek and roomy. Grizzly spent 2 whole days with her making sure everything was in tip top shape..And when his other Lady went down the road I think he might of shed a tear over her. We since than had been twice driving threw the lot where she might of gone to but no sight of her. Poor Grizzly. He's evan brought her up a few times sating how there was nothing wrong with her and she drove down the road just fine!! So the last photo is the last time he combined with her....Memories huh Grizzly?

I am sure his new Lady will get all the attention she needs ..oohh no he won't ignore her..She's John Deere Green!! He's already had her out playing with her in the mud as I sit here patiently waiting...yes like a good wife should!!!

The Wheat harvest is done here!! The soybeans soon to start so Grizzly has been getting the header for the beans in tip top shape...with a back thats killing him!
But he keeps at it. It has been raining here off and on today and kinda dreary looking! We have had a few rainy days this week mixed in with sunny and humid! Which gives Grizzly a chance to work on the header...and out in the rain!!

As I have maybe mentioned a few times I think Grizzly's bales are by far the most perfect bales!! He loves to bale and it shows!! Imagine if I could get him to paint for me or sew!! Man I'd have it made!!! Or evan cook!! He would really impress me! I suppose I'd have to paint our appliances John Deere green!!! Than I'd probably get somewhere with that!!!

Heres a few picks from over the summer!! Cement culverts put in to make a new road..thought I took a pick of the new road at the farm..but..maybe not?
We had a cook out and they were all watching the spray plane! It thrills kids and adults alike!
No farm work today except for hauling grain..too much rain!!
Gas was up from $3.56 to 3.79 and I hear it's gonna go up more!
